Natividad Celaya "Josefina" Lopez

Natividad Celaya Lopez "Josefina", 88, passed October 30, 2013. She is preceeded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Antonio Lopez; daughter, Maria del Carmen; and grandson, Peter Celaya. Josefina was a devoted member of the Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She liked crafts, reading and traveling. Making menudo for her family and hosting Christmas Day gatherings were two of her greatest joys. She is survived by her brothers: Abraham and Ramon; sisters: Ma. Luisa Rojo and Teresa Vargas; children: Pedro and Romy, Fernie and Rosa, Bobby and Clamencia, Luz and Luis Meza, Martha Gamillo, Mary and David Huerta, Patty and Henry Alfaro, Sal and Alice, Joe and Jennie. Josefina was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Josefina's children find comfort knowing that mom and dad are reunited in eternal peace. They would like to thank Dr. Anwar Monroy and Dr. Arturo Castro for their kindness. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2013 at St. Marks Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers: Sergio Lopez, Orlando Lopez, Luisvidal Meza, Gilberto and Luciano Gamillo and Aaron Chiu. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
