Ofelia M. Cuellar

 Ofelia Cellar, age 78 entered into eternal rest on Saturday April 18,2026, surrounded by family and loved ones, in hospice. Born on March 29, 1948 in Juarez, Mexico, Ofelia was the beloved daughter of Abraham Mendoza and Hortencia Hernandez. She grew up in Juarez and later made her home in El Paso, where she built a life centered on a career to support her family. Ofelia was a devoted wife, mother,daughter, sister,grandmother and friend. She spent many years working in a factory, where she was known for her dedication , attention to detail and organization. Outside of work, she found her time caring for her husband and children, going lengths to provide and build a life centered around her faith and family. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Hernandez, Sons Juan Cuellar, Jesus Cuellar and Rene Cuellar. She is also survived by many extended family members, grandchildren and friends to cherish and honor her memory. Ofelia is preceded in death by her parents Abraham Mendoza and Hortencia Hernandez, her husband Roberto Cuellar, daughter Ana Cuellar and granddaughters Samantha and Bella Marshall. Those who knew Ofelia Cuellar will remember her for her laughter, gratitude, faith, and warm cooking that was filled with love. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the extended family and friends and hospice staff for their care and support. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved. 

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Mass will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Graveside will follow at 10:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907.
