Ofelia Beard Rice

Ofelia Beard Rice passed away peacefully on July 20, 2013. She was a loyal mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and Bowie Bear. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Carolina Beard; sisters: Emma Beard Saucedo and Alicia Beard Paredes. She is survived by her children: Christopher Dean and Christine Anne; grandson Brian Adam; Brother Ramon Beard; dear cousins Evangelina Escarciga and Alma Calanche; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Albert Portugal, Aaron Portugal, Robert Portugal, Antonio Escarciga, Ed Escarciga and John Martinez. Visitation will be Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast on Hondo Pass with recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral Mass will be Thursday July 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
