Olga "Isela" Rojas

Olga “Isela” Rojas, age 56, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed.

Isela was born in El Paso on April 18th, 1969, to Hector and Olga Porras. She graduated from Burges High School in 1987. She earned her Bachelor’s of Education and Masters in Counseling from UTEP. She started her teaching career at Schuster Elementary where she taught second grade for 5 years.

She married Frank on March 19, 1994. They later welcomed their two sons Franky and Nicholas.

Isela went on to become a counselor at Travis Elementary and then moved to Western Hills, where she stayed until her retirement in June of 2022. She was beloved in every aspect of her career.

Isela was preceded in death by her father, Hector; and her brother, Abraham. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Frank; her sons Franky (Ariana) and Nick; mother, Olga; brothers, Hector and Isaac (Yoli); father-in-law, Hector; mother-in-law, Beatrice; sister-in-law Sylvia; brother-in-law Ryan (Alex); one niece and four nephews, and many extended family and friends who cherish and honor her memory.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 28th, at Coronado Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00-11:00. Reception immediately following at 520 Thunderbird.
