Ottis Cecil Griffy

Ottis Cecil (O.C.) Griffy passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at the age of 77 years. He was born in Olive Hill, Kentucky and subsequently moved to El Paso, Texas. O.C. proudly served his country in the United Sates Army for 30 years where he retired and proceeded to work for the El Paso International Airport as a Facility Manager until he retired. He is truly missed by those who loved him and knew him well. O.C. was preceded in death by his father Theodore Griffy and his mother Geneva Nell (Tackett) Griffy. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Phyllis Annie (James) Griffy, his daughters Geneva Jo Ann (Griffy) Ameen, and Lisa Ann (Griffy) Bolin; grandsons, Marco Samuel Balderrama, Christopher Michael Griffy and Andrew Robert Ameen; granddaughters Sara Ann Ameen and Katherine Ann (Block) Wolfe; great grandsons Marco Samuel Balderrama Jr, Gabriel Alonzo Balderrama and Ismael David Balderrama and great granddaughter Evelyn Janet Griffy. Per O.C.’s wishes no flowers are to be sent. Committal Service will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Friday, January 19, 2017 at 10:00am with Full Military Honors.
