Patricia Dee Wade

December 6, 1960 — April 8, 2023

Ruidoso, New Mexico

Trish Wade (Patricia Dee Wade, nee Vineyard) is a woman whom many consider to be family. A daughter, cousin, friend, mother, sister, wife and grandmother. She worked hard in everything she did. There was nothing that Trish did with mediocracy. Whether that be helping others, giving her time and energy to others, in her business and work, in her creativity and wonder, in her role as a parent and soulmate and as a dreamer. She believed in the eternal, and that how we carry ourselves in this world lasts forever in those that we touch. She was spiritual, believing that there is more to this world than our physical time spent here among those we love. That our love and moral foundation is beyond the dirt, trees and mountains that we see. That her death isn’t the end of her story, but rather an evolution of our love for Trish, and how we honor her in our lives in the way we treat ourselves and others, just as she would have. Even while she has stepped into another chapter of her life, her impact resonates with thousands, both during her time on this earth, and after.

Trish’s memories and the impact she’s left everyone of us with, will live on for millennia. It will live on in ways that we may not often realize. How she treated every one of us with kindness, how she shared her loving nature with us, seemingly whenever we needed it most. She opened our minds and our hearts to finding joy in just about everything. That the rain can be beautiful and cleansing, that the wind makes a sound that comforts the soul when we listen carefully, that we can speak to the moon and stars and hear exactly what we need to hear if we listen closely.

We all miss her dearly. Without a doubt. There is no one like her. We’ll miss her cookies, her laughter, her wit, her easy going attitude, her independence, her tremendous heart and her gentle nature. Let her passing not be one of sorrow, but of celebration and adoration. Carry within each of us her humbleness, her kindness and her strength. Let these be how we move forward. May we always hear her loving words in the morning symphony of birds singing. May we feel her gentle touch as the evening summer breeze dances across our skin. May we feel her love among the orange, pink and purple hues of a New Mexico sunrise and sunset. May we dream more when we look up at a twilight moon. May we never be afraid to chase and live our dreams, just as she did.

Trish is a free spirit. A wild spirit. We see it among the wings of ravens and in the flowing manes of wild horses. We see it in the dream catchers hanging above our beds as we rest easy at night. We hear it in the gentle tones of a wind chime moving with the wind. She loved all, and we all loved her. Let us carry within each of us, her legacy. Her ability to unconditionally love everything. Her ability to be compassionate and understanding. The way she always found the time to be exactly what someone needed. The strength within she carried, to allow us to overcome any hardship. Trish is more than a person we all loved, she is an example for all of us. A mentor, guide and spirit.

Trish passed away in 2023 on April the 8th at the age of 62 from Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Her husband Troy Wade, her son Travis Wade, and her grandchildren Layla and Ellie Wade, and every person she ever touched carry her spirit forward. May she dance forever among the angels, and paint her story across the skies. Open our hearts and hear her voice. We will celebrate her life, and carry her strength. May she rest peacefully, and with love, forever - in all of us.
