Paul Andrew Weber

May 24, 1956 — September 12, 2014

PAUL ANDREW WEBER, 58, went to take his place beside our Lord on September 12, 2014. Paul was born in Tokyo, Japan. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Aria Weber. Paul is survived by his beloved Dr. Eliza San Roman, sister Cynthia Farah Haines and nieces Alexa and Elise Farah. Paul was a graduate of Burgess High School and the El Paso Police Academy. Paul was an outstanding police officer, who rose to rank of Patrolman working in the Tactical Unit and Narcotics. Additionally, he was a Dona Ana County Sheriff. He later became a talented and gifted Contractor in Commercial Construction. Paul was a true gentleman with a loving heart, a passionate protector and caregiver. He had an inner peace that was personified in his smile. He was an authority in firearms and a master with a shotgun. He had a sense of art in small gauge and classic shotguns. He mastered bowhunting and muzzleloaders for big game. In recent years, he dedicated himself to hunting Upland game birds accompanied by his pack of Brittany dogs. To see him with his dogs in the field was poetry in motion. There was a bond that is difficult to explain but when you saw it, you just knew the respect they had for each other. Not only did he enjoy the hunt, but he relished in preparing the game for the table. He was a former President of the Brittany Club. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited, Consolidated Sportsmen and Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun Club. He was a Raptor expert, who volunteered with Wildlife Rescue. He became an accomplished sailor who raced Catamaran sailboats. Paul will be missed until we sail together again in the heavens. Visitation will be held from 5pm-9pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm Noon on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment will follow at Evergreen Alameda Cemetery.
