We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Pearline Oletha Greer on March 10th, 2025. Pearline was born on September 24, 1939, to Odell Watson Sr. and Rosetta McFadden-Watson in Cato, Arkansas. She graduated from Pulaski County Training High School in McAlmont, Arkansas. On October 5, 1959, Pearline was united in holy matrimony to Charles Greer, and together they were blessed with five children.
At an early age, Pearline accepted Christ as her savior at St. Peter’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Cato, Arkansas. She was a beloved member, Sunday school teacher, and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gospel Service at Fort Bliss Hope Chapel until her health started declining. Pearline retired from the El Paso State Center as a supervisor, concluding a 20-plus-year career.
Pearline is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Greer; children, Valerie Latrice, Veronica Late, and Byron Samuel; her parents, Odell Sr., and Rosetta Watson; two brothers, Earlee, and Odell Watson Jr., and four sisters, Lorene, Elmyra, Callie, and Zelma. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Gaylon Greer (Michelle) and Eric Greer; grandchildren Natasha Greer, Traion Lemond, and Dashon Marquese Smith; and great-grandchildren Jay’da Rose, Kayan Martez, Lexi Adelitha, and Alaia Mary Michelle. She is also survived by sisters Edna and Jearline (Eugene) Tolliver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Our family appreciates all who have reached out, called, and offered blessings and words of encouragement. We are truly grateful for your support. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Laura Fraustro and all staff at Casa Da Paz for the loving care she received during her end-of-life journey.
Pearline was a cherished family member and loving mother whose memory will forever live on in our hearts.
