Petra Caro Enriquez, 89 passed away peacefully at her home May 20, 2016 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Petra dedicated her entire life to being a single parent, always working two or three jobs. She was completely selfless, never once complaining about putting her needs last. She was a devoted mother and was fiercely loyal to her children and grandchildren. Her smile was infectious, and she taught her children that optimism triumphs over any obstacle. She was a beautiful human being with an even more beautiful demeanor. Her heart was one of a kind and she was loved and respected by everyone that knew her. She always had a kind word to make you feel special or a funny anecdote to make you laugh. Despite the many challenges throughout her life, she always kept her head held high and carried herself with dignity. Her extraordinary strength, perseverance, and unwavering faith steered her through 18 years of dialysis. She was a devout Jehovah’s Witness living an exemplary life in honor of Jehovah. Petra was an excellent cook by trade and worked at several schools and local churches for over 35 years. Her passions were food, cooking, singing, and music. She is survived by her children Olga Zubia, Frank Enriquez (Lorraine Viscon), Danny Enriquez (Lorri Enriquez), Gloria Dubose (Anthony Dubose), and Cristina Enriquez (Monica Carrillo). Her grandchildren John Paul Enriquez (Aidee Moreno), Eric J. Zubia (Amanda Zubia), Samantha Zubia (Candis Valencia), and Daniel L. Enriquez. Her great grandchildren Anastasia Enriquez, and Diego Zubia. Mommy we are heartbroken and we will miss you more than you will ever know, but you will always be the light that guides our paths.
