Ralph Vernon Treat, 82, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. He had been a resident of both El Paso and Ruidoso the past 81 years. He owned and operated the Beaumont Thrift Shop in El Paso and the Covered Wagon in Ruidoso. He was a member of the Skyline Baptist Church. He served with the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Marion of El Paso; daughters: Linda Watson of El Paso, Gail Attas of Waco, TX, Barbara Roegge of Las Cruces, NM, Susie Weiser of El Paso, and Karen Vaughn of Ruidoso, NM; sister, Bethel Grant of Yuma, AZ; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00-700 pm Monday, February 5, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Skyline Baptist Church, 10061 Rushing, Pastor Warmath, Officiant. Interment will be private.
