Ramon Serna

"In Loving Memory of Ray"

It is with profound sadness and loving hearts that we announce the passing of Ramon "Ray" Serna. Who left us too soon on August 29, 2026, at the age of 48.

Ray was a loving family member and loyal friend. He was the kind of person that always thought of others before himself.

He enjoyed a simple life in New Braunfels. He loved going to concerts with his brother, taking the boat out and going fishing, kayaking, cookouts, listening to music and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He also played softball with the several local teams in New Braunfels. Where they won numerous championships.

He was proud of his 26 years in senior management at HD Supply.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Richard Serna Sr and Evangelina V. Serna.

He is survived by his sister Barbara S. Carrillo, brother Rick (Kris) Serna, nephew Danny Carrillo (Abby Reyes), niece Priscilla Carrillo, great nephews and nieces Ray C., Desmay, Daniel Jr, Lillyann, Victor Jr. and extended family and many dear friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, September 14, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 S. Rosedale. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
