We gather to honor and remember the life of Randall C. Pickett, a remarkable man and wonderful brother who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on March 29, 1968 in El Paso, Tx, Randall’s journey through life was filled with dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to his family, his friends, and his community.
Randall’s educational accomplishments were an example of his desire to achieve his lifelong goals. He graduated with honors from Andress High School in 1986. While working full time for AAFES Fort Bliss, He then continued his education at EPCC receiving an Associate’s degree in Computer Science in 2001, graduating with honors. He later went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Parks University in 2004, demonstrating his determination to pursue his dreams.
Randall embarked on his dream career in IT and Computer Programing. His dedication, knowledge and commitment to his job made him a trusted and respected figure in his profession. His final employer at his time of departing was FirstLight FCU, where his ability to treat others with kindness, fairness and respect set him apart.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randall’s true legacy and devotion lies within his family. He leaves behind his father, Randolph Pickett. He was a loving brother to his surviving sister, Sandra McCrory and a loving uncle to his surviving nephews, Darrell McCrory and Tirrell McCrory. Randall also leaves behind other family and friends who will fondly remember him.
We remember today not only Randall’s remarkable life but also the loved one who preceded him in death. His mother, Betty Pickett has undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the eternal embrace of heaven.
As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Randall for his remarkable character, his unwavering commitment to truth and his undying love for his family. May his legacy serve as a guiding light for all of us, reminding us to embrace life's challenges with strength and determination, to cherish our loved ones, and to always strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Rest in peace, Flip. I love you. Your spirit will live on in our hearts always.
