“Well done, my good and faithful servant” – Matthew 25:23

With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Raul Lombraña Sr., who entered eternal rest on September 1, 2025, at the age of 91 in his hometown of El Paso, Texas. While our hearts ache with his absence, we find solace in the knowledge that Raul’s remarkable life of faith, generosity, and devotion has led him to the comforting embrace of our Lord.

Born on August 29, 1934, in El Paso, Texas, to Ildefonso Sr. and Hilaria Lombraña, Raul was a proud graduate of Jefferson High School and briefly attended Texas Western College. His life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Raul’s professional journey began at a young age as a bowling alley pin boy, a role that shaped his strong work ethic. He went on to serve as a warehouse manager for Frito-Lay before dedicating many years to Southern Pacific Railroad, where he retired with pride. A visionary and skilled craftsman, Raul founded Lombraña Homes of El Paso, leaving a lasting legacy through the homes he built with care and precision.

A man of deep passions, Raul found joy in fishing, camping, and cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. His love for animals was boundless, and his home was a haven for creatures great and small. Above all, Raul’s generosity and strength touched countless lives. He opened his heart and home to those in need, serving as a father figure, mentor, and role model to many, leaving an indelible mark on his community.

Raul was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Alicia, whose love was the cornerstone of his life; his parents, Ildefonso Sr. and Hilaria; and his brothers, Ildefonso Jr., Vicente, Ruben, and Rodolfo.

He is survived by his devoted children: Sylvia, Raul Jr. (Brigette), Ruben (Martina), and Raymond (Chely); his cherished grandchildren: Natalie (Edgar), Joe, Eric, Ezequiel, and Darissa; and his treasured great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Noah, Alexander, Nicolas, Julian, and Camila. Raul also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Connie and Maria Elena, as well as numerous godchildren, nephews, and nieces who will forever hold his memory dear.
