Raymond Adam Napiwocki

February 19, 1935 — July 23, 2013

Raymond Napiwocki, 78, of El Paso, Texas passed away and left this earth to join his heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Christine Napiwocki, children; Nanette Sleighel, Anita Aston, David Napiwocki and Donald Napiwocki, grandchildren; Vanessa Colmenero, Heather Flores, Andrea Napiwocki, Brenna Miller, Maria Sleighel, Michele Sleighel and Elizabeth Sleighel, Tammy Napiwocki and Saraih Napiwocki, 15 great grandchildren including Giorgio Roche who resided with him, brother, Jim Napiwocki, sister, Deanna Kronland. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana on February 19, 1935, graduated from Washington High School and completed an associate degree from Purdue University, majoring in chemistry and metallurgy. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Bliss. Following discharge from the army, he worked as an electronic technician for Western Electric Company at White Sands Missile Range, Kwajalein, Marshall Islands, Whippany, New Jersey and Langdon, North Dakota. Following retirement he returned to El Paso. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, gun collecting and photography. He was an active volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America. During life we loved you and will continue to do so. Our hearts are broken but we know you are safe in the arms of our heavenly Father. Visitation will be on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 105000 Kenworthy; mass will follow at the church at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the church. Services are under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
