Reuben Alexander Messer

REUBEN ALEXANDER MESSER passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in Blountstown, Florida; but was a resident of the El Paso Community since 1970. Mr. Messer was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He retired after 20- years as a Land Owner and General Manager in the Automoblile Industry. He was known as the “Grandpa of the neighborhood”, always lending a helping hand. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 50 years, Josephine "Jo" Messer, his brothers: Mack Messer, Greg Messer. He is also survived by his step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren and nephew Roger Swinford. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00AM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors at 1:00PM. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West, 480 N.
