Reynaldo Badillo

Ray Badillo of El Paso, TX, passed away in peace on September 2nd, 2026. “Dad”, as he was lovingly called by his family and friends, was born on June 24th 1933 to Martin and Anita Badillo. After serving in the United States Airforce, Ray went on to complete numerous buildings and warehouse projects as a construction foreman throughout El Paso, the greater Texas region as well as parts of New Mexico and Louisiana. He married his sweetheart Virgina “Mom” through a set-up blind date and they settled down to raise three daughters Tryna, Thelma & Thalia and two sons Rey and Johnny Ray. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride, and Dads eyes would sparkle whenever they were around. Dad was undoubtedly a man of many talents and a definitely a master of them all. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do and when frequently called upon, Dad always came to the rescue. Leisure times were rare for Dad however, he would periodically enjoy his Dallas Cowboys games and he wouldn’t say no to a day at the casino where he regularly went home a winner! Without a doubt, Dad impacted many lives in a positive way and although, the world has lost one of the good ones who will be missed greatly, his legacy and will live on through his family.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Thursday September 10, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home- East

Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church Interment will follow at 2:00 pm on Friday September 11, 2026 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
