Ricardo Anchondo

RICARDO ANCHONDO passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 84. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed. He was preceased by his sons Manuel Anchondo and Luis Anchondo. He is survived by his wife Maria Avila Anchondo, children; Luz M. Anchondo, Margarita Anchondo (Jorge Romo), Laura Espino, Ricardo Anchondo (Olga Anchondo), Ricardo Espino (Concepcion Espino), Maria Newman (Robert Newman), Robert Anchondo (Gloria Anchondo), Patricia Garcia (Rey Zambrano), Martha Bustamantes (Benjamin Bustamantes), Esteban Anchondo (Belinda Anchondo), and Lourdes Anchondo, 21 grandchildren, and 12 great-grand children. His favorite companion; his cat Nala Anchondo. He worked for El Paso Independent School District for thirty four years. A great number of those were at El Paso High school and Mesita Elementry school in which a great number of Alumni still remembered him. He attended Polly Harris senior citizen center where he was a member of the Billiard Team and was a team champion, and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home West, 480 N. Resler, and Vigil/Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Scared Heart Catholic Church, 602 S. Oregon. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
