Richard Holguin

Richard “Rick” Holguin passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2026 after a very hard and long illness.

Rick is proceeded in death by his father Robert. Left to cherish his memory are his Mother Teresa, Girlfriend Lisa Roskydoll, Uncle James Camacho (Irma), aunt Rachel Thomas (Mike), and Aunt Sophie Salaiz (Chale) and several cousins.

Rick was a 1989 graduate of Bel Air High school where he played in the band. He also played with the band at UTEP.

Special thanks to James, Irma, Rachel, Mike and Isela who always brought joy to his life. To Lisa for her support. Rick was a devoted New York Mets, Tennessee Titans, Texas Longhorns, and Boston Celtics fan. One of his biggest joys was when he received a team picture and note from the Boston Celtics, thanks to the effort of James & Irma.

Special thanks to the neighbors, Joe & Armida, Roberto & Sol, who always answered our call when Rick needed help. To James & Irma who were with him in one way or the other every day and night. Special thanks to all the doctors at UMC who worked diligently to help him.

Gathering Of Remembrance will be held at 4:00 - 8:00 pm, with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas, 79915.
