Rita Elia Hernandez

Rita Elia Hernandez, 78, entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2026 in El Paso, TX. Rita was a wonderful, wife, mother, daughter and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rodolfo Acosta and Seferina Polanco. Brothers, Auden Acosta and Mario Acosta. Rita is survived by her beloved husband, Francisco Javier Hernandez; her sons, Jose Javier Hernandez, Cesar Hernandez and Aldo Francisco Hernandez. Brothers, Jose Acosta, Cirilo Acosta and Rodolfo Acosta. Sisters, Josefina Acosta, Teresa Acosta Hernandez and Guadalupe Barraza. Rita also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to honor and cherish her memory. Rita was very loved and will always be missed.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at St's Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, El Paso, TX 79927.
