Robert G. Cabral

Robert Cabral passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 23, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Amalia Cabral, his brothers John and Elias and his sisters Rosa and Gloria. He is survived by his wife Marie, his two babies Brown and Peewee, his Goddaughter Siobhan, his sisters Lily, Nena, and Carmen, and numerous nieces and nephews. A lifelong resident of El Paso, Robert attended Jefferson High School and graduated in 1964. After graduation Robert served in U.S. Army and served our country for 4 years. He went on to attend UTEP and graduated with a BA in education. Robert used his love for teaching and taught at Henderson Elem, Irvin HS, and EPCC. He coached football and tennis and was also a member of the El Paso Lions Club. He retired from the State of Texas and enjoyed retirement to the fullest. A special thank you to Easter Neely, Ernestina Payne, Dr. M. Alvarez, Dr P. Mathew, Dr. Diaz Luna, PMH Telemetry, PMH 4th Floor Unit and PMH Mariposa Hospice for all of their help and support. Serving as pallbearers: Lorenzo Arciniaga, Mando Bustamante Jr., Arturo Gallardo Jr, Jimmy Jimenez, John David Medina, and Nacho Valdez. Because of Robert’s love for Dogs, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Robert’s name to the Humane Society of El Paso. Visistaion will be held from 5:00pm-9:00pm, with a Funeral Service to begin at 7:00pm, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service to begin at 9:30am, Friday, September 27, 2013 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
