Robert James Cooke

Robert (Bob) J. Cooke, 65, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home. Bob was a lifelong El Pasoan. He was a devoted volunteer at the Ambrosio Gullen Texas State Veteran’s Home for many years. Bob was a beloved charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church, where he was blessed with many friends. Known to some as the Texas Hotrod, Bob attended many CBer jamborees. He spent many a Sunday afternoon rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. The Cooke family will always be grateful for the loving care and comfort provided to Bob by his Grace Presbyterian Church family, Dr. Martin and the physicians of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Gentiva Hospice and his loving friends, Mary Lou and Clayton. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Cooke. He leaves behind family members Robert Bruce, Sterling Bruce, Judy Cooke and their families. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Grace Presbyterian Church for Remembrances at 1:30 and Funeral Services at 2:00, with a reception immediately following.
