Robert “Robb” J. Dutchover, 36, of Carrizozo, NM, was welcomed into his eternal home in Heaven on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Robb will be remembered and missed for his generosity, genuine heart, willingness to help others, and hard work.
Robb was the oldest child of Robert E. Dutchover and Veronica Zamora, born on January 15th, 1989, in Ruidoso, NM. He attended Carrizozo High School and enlisted in the U.S. Airforce National Guard in 2008. He proudly gave 6 years of service to his country and community. After his time in the Airforce, Robb returned to his community where he worked and volunteered endlessly.
Robb was the proud and loving father of three children, Aliyah Zamora, Aubrey G. Dutchover, and Avery R. Dutchover. His children were his pride and joy. He enjoyed every moment with them and looked forward to watching all of their school and sport accomplishments.
During his short time on Earth with loved ones, Robb was a member of the Santa Rita Catholic Church. His faith was always strong and steady. He was always willing to give his time and resources to his church.
Robb was also a member of the Carrizozo Volunteer Fire Department. His dedication to his community and those who resided in it were inspiring. He was always willing to respond and would do anything in his power to make sure those he was helping were safe and cared for.
Robb also volunteered and served on many other non-profit organizations in Carrizozo, NM. Most notably was the time and dedication he gave to the Carrizozo Youth Sports Program. He helped to start the organization, served on the board in various positions, and coached the youth of his community for many years.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Martha Dutchover in 2000; his grandfather, Robert Dutchover in 2006; his father, Robert E. Dutchover in 2012; his grandmother, Christine Zamora in 2012; and his grandfather, Teodoro Zamora in 2020; his aunt Pamela Zamora in 2023.
Robb is survived by his children, Aliyah Zamora, Aubrey G. Dutchover, and Avery R. Dutchover, his mother, Veronica Zamora, his siblings, Matthew Dutchover, Nikko Chavez, all of Carrizozo, NM; his niece Christina Chavez, and his sister-in-law, Hannah Chavez. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Darla Duthcover, Sandra Samora (Gabriel), Melissa Zamora (Matthew), Destiny Dutchover, David Zamora (Sandy), Gilbert Zamora, and Charles Zamora.
His loss will leave a large hole in many hearts. His love for friends and family was immeasurable. The world will be dimmer without his bright smile.
A Rosary and Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at Santa Rita Catholic Church, 213 Birch Street, Carrizozo, NM. A Graveside Service will immediately follow Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Carrizozo Country Club for family and friends.
