Robert Arthur Howes

LTC Robert Arthur Howes USA (ret), 92, went to be with our Lord November 12, 2018. Bob was born in Meriden, CT in 1925. He graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1951. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years which included tours in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After his retirement, Bob turned his lifelong passion of guns into his own business, Frontier Gun & Engraving. He also served on the Board of the El Paso Rescue Mission. Bob is survived by his three children, Robert A. Howes, Jr., Peggy Belcher (Terry), Scott Howes (Annette); four grandchildren, Stephen Howes (Samantha), Lauren Hansen (Joel), Brian Belcher, Kevin Belcher; three great grandchildren, Zachariah Howes, Zoe Howes, Zara Howes. Visitation will be held for Bob from 10:30am with Reflections starting at 11:30am and Funeral Service at 12noon on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Committal Service will follow at 1:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson, with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
