Robert Robledo, a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas died on November 13, 2013. After an honorable discharge from the US Navy having served during the Korean conflict as a Yeoman, he earned his Political Science Degree in 1967 from Texas Western College while working full time at the US Postal Service. After graduation, he served as a Treasury agent with the IRS. He retired as a civil servant after 43 years in 1998. He continued to work at Robert A. Diaz., P.C. Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Aurora; his daughter, Laura Robledo, M.D.; son Commander Edward John Robledo; his daughter in law, Irene; his grandchildren Edward John Robert and Veronica Josefina; sisters Alicia Gutierrez and Delia Romero. He is preceded in death by his son, Lt. Commander Robert O. Robledo and grandson Robbie. He was a proud Bowie bear, Class of 1954, and a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. Visitaion will be held from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a Vigil/ Rosary at 4:00pm and Navy Honors will be rendered at 5:00pm on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Interment will be private.
