Roberto Cruz Damasco

Roberto Cruz Damasco, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.

Roberto was born in Sacramento California on November 27, 1953. In his early life he moved to the El Paso area and graduated from Bowie High School where he was actively involved with the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America and served as a Cadet Major in the Army JROTC program.

After starting a family, Roberto worked in construction for over 42 years in various roles with major projects across seven states. He dedicated his life to helping family, friends, and neighbors with home improvement projects while serving as a mentor to his many grandkids.

Roberto was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa and his wife, Maria Luisa. He is survived by his wife, Isela; three children, Veronica, Roberto, and Victor; two step-sons, Carlos and Robert; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation and Rosary services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. A Scripture Service will be held at Sunset the following morning at 10 am, followed by Committal Service at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, at 402 S. Zaragoza Road at 11:30 am.
