Roberto Ortiz Gonzales

ROBERTO ORTIZ GONZALES passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the age of 61. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and was devoted to all his 1500+ students that he taught at various high schools throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, one Junior High School and one Elementary School, as a Band Instructor in which he instilled in his students the passion for music that he himself carried with him all the days of his life. They, in turn, became just as passionate for music and most moved on to become even greater musicians. He was preceded in death by his parents Rosario and Robert R. Gonzales. He is survived by his wife Rose Mary Moreno-Gonzales and daughter Jasmine, sons Javin Robert Gonzales and wife Tammy, Jacob Anthony Gonzales, and Rodolfo Gonzales, his sister Mary Lou Gonzales and her significant other Andy Gomez and nephew Robert L. Gonzales, and 6 grandchildren Javen, Elijah, Adrian, Kadence, Jacob Jr., and Robert Gonzales. Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 127 W. main St, Fabens TX 79838. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Silver City New Mexico.
