Rodney "Rod" Fender

Rodney “Rod” Fender, age 77, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed. Rodney is preceded in death by his loving parents; Howard Lewis Fender and Ellen Rachel Fender. He is survived by his loving wife; Lorraine Knapp Fender; his dearest children; Elizabeth Locksteadt, Nicole Earnhart, Denise Chaparro, Desiree Chaparro, and Manuel F. Chaparro; his siblings; Bill Fender, Sally Huston, Kathe Thompson, and Merridee Lewis; his 8 wonderful grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.

A Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home- West with Airforce Honors at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 4:15 p.m. Those who cannot attend in person may join the funeral and memorial services virtually on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/sunsetfuneralhome/ (no account is needed).
