Rodolfo P. Olivas

Rodolfo P. Olivas, 71, was called home on November 7, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a resident of El Paso, Texas and served in the U.S. Army. He was a remarkable man whose delight was teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish, bowl and appreciate life. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria De Jesus Olivas. He is survived by his father Fidel Olivas; his loving wife of 45 years Eva Olivas; daughters: Julia(Jerry) Rodriguez, Cynthia Uribarri, Tisha Olivas; grandchildren: Janina(Israel) Ramos, Catherine Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez; and great grandchild, Jaylah Ramos. He is also survived by four sisters and five brothers. Special thanks to his caregiver Jose Sierra, CIMA Hospice, the Cruz Family and all the doctors and nurses from the VA. We’ll miss your laugh and your compassion but most of all we’ll miss your love. It’s time to spread your wings daddy, love you! Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark Dr. Interment to follow at 2:15pm at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
