Romana L. Arvizu

Romana “Romie” Lara Arvizu, passed away on the evening of 10/23/15. She is now with Jesus, her beloved Savior and Lord. Romie was 83 at the time of her death. Romie was an immensely strong woman of faith who never remarried after the love of her life, Ismael Arvizu Sr., passed away in 1970. After Ismael’s death, Romie raised their four rambunctious sons, Ismael, Hugo, Robert, and George, on her own and saw them all mature and grow into men of integrity; who love and honor their wives, and fear and love God. They, along with their wives, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, are her and Ismael Sr.’s legacy. Ronnie will have a Viewing on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina, El Paso, TX. Her Funeral Service will be at 12:30pm Friday, October 30, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Burial will follow at 2:00pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
