Ruben Flores Sr.

Ruben Flores, 90, born in Colonia Dublán, Chihuahua, México, to Ramona and Porfirio Flores, passed away peacefully on November 25,2025.

A devoted and loving husband to Ethi O. Flores and a father to Liz, Ruben Jr., Irma, and Margie. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ruben led a memorable life filled with unwavering commitment to his family, employment, and his country. He served proudly as a U.S. Army veteran in Germany. He later became a skilled and trusted plumber, loved by his clients for his honesty, dedication, and strong work ethic.

In his younger years, Ruben enjoyed hunting with his brothers, fishing, and spending time in nature. Family was at the center of Ruben’s life. He treasured taking his loved ones to visit relatives in Colonia Dublán, strengthening bonds across generations. Nothing brought him more joy than playing with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and energy brightened his days.

Ruben will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his deep devotion to family, and the legacy of kindness and reliability he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. We love you dad and grandpa; we will sorely miss you!

Visitation 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 PM, Friday, December 19, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Graveside Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
