Ruth Ong-Ybarra passed away on December 25, 2023. Ruth was born in El Paso, Texas on December 11, 1940. She was a nurse for 40 years, loved to run marathons in Los Angeles and riding her motorcycle. Ruth is survived by her son Marcos Ong (Belinda) and sisters; Maricela Martinez, Rosemary Baldaso, and Nohiem Varnum.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Tuesday January 16, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM at St. John Paul II Church, 518 Gallagher. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
