Our father, Salvador Martinez, 85, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to be with our Lord in heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and three of his sisters. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Maria Teresa, his children, Susan Martinez, Salvador Jude (Michelle) Martinez, Mark Anthony (Caroline) Martinez, and Deborah (Marvin) Marchael III. Grandchildren, Beau Martinez, Noelle Martinez, Elijah (Kaitlin) Martinez, Brianna Marchael and Madeline Martinez. He is also survived by his sister, Elvira Mains and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Salvador worked for Regal Supply and Chemical for 35 years. During his retirement, he worked for Little Flower Church for 10 years. He loved helping anyone in need and was always quick to make friends. He always had a playful side to him, was very witty, and quick to tell jokes. He was a devoted husband and an amazing father and grandfather. His family will always cherish the times spent with him. He spent many years coaching little league baseball, football and basketball to the neighborhood kids. He was a positive role model to many and his spiritual devotion to God inspired his children to always trust in our Lord.

He will always be loved and greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, March 30, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes—East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Little Flower Church—171 Polo Inn Rd. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
