Sandra Marie Montoya
Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother
Sandra Marie Montoya passed away surrounded by love and family. She was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a radiant soul whose warmth, humor, and fierce spirit touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving husband, Evaristo Montoya; her daughter, Samantha Sullivan; and her sons, Samuel Ponce, Joseph Ortega, and Sebastian Martinez. Sandra was also a proud and doting grandmother to four precious grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life. She is survived by her parents, Dolly and Ralph Ramirez; and her two sisters, Corina Stubblefield and Diana Aguilar. She also leaves behind her special needs stepson, Basti, whom she cared for with unmatched tenderness, strength, and love.
Sandra had a magnetic personality—bold, funny, nurturing, and unapologetically herself. She blended a rock-and-roll soul with deep faith, and her passions were as vibrant and wide-ranging as she was. She loved singing along to Prince, swapping Real Housewives gossip, heading to Sonic for her daily treat, and going to concerts with her husband. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, Sandra somehow still managed to cheer on her husband’s beloved Steelers (though not without a few playful eye-rolls).
Her greatest joy was her family, and no one felt her presence more deeply than her daughter, Samantha. From across the miles, Sandra was always just a text away—ready with brutally honest, loving feedback on a new outfit, hair change, or makeup look. She never held back, and she never let you doubt how much she cared. Her advice on love and life was always laced with humor, instinct, and heart. She made you feel seen, known, and loved—whether she was in the room or on the other end of the phone.
Whether she was laughing around the kitchen table or sitting quietly in church, Sandra’s love had gravity. It wrapped around you and made you feel at home. She had a rare gift for caring for others—especially the most vulnerable—and gave her whole heart every single day. Her humor was contagious, her loyalty unwavering, and her spirit unforgettable.
Her memory will live on in the family she adored, the joy she brought into every room, and the fierce, beautiful love she gave so freely.
