Sandra Elena Threadgill

Sandra Elena Threadgill, 62, July 23, 2016 Sandra E. Threadgill, 62, succumbed to breast cancer on July 23, 2016. Sandra was born in Tacoma, Washington March 18, 1954. She graduated from Irvin H.S. in 1972 as a licensed vocational nurse. Constantly looking to better herself, Sandra went on to earn a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland and a Masters Degree in Public Administration, all while working fulltime and raising her daughters. Devoting her life to the care of others, Sandra spent her career working in the health care and public service fields. She was also an active member of the El Paso Jaycees. An avid animal lover, she rescued and welcomed in many foster animals throughout her life. Sandy is survived by her parents Victor and Velia Garcia, siblings Norma Hollars, David Garcia, Gloria Michalik, daughters Jennifer Shadle, Janelle Gonzales and grandchildren Madison and Mia Gonzales and Savannah and Christian Shadle. A Gathering of Remembrance will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast - Hondo Pass on Thursday July 28 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be Friday July 29 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment is Private.
