Santiago “Jim” Holguin was born on February 13, 1927 to Ramon & Genoveva Holguin in Ysleta, TX. Jim was the oldest of four siblings. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18 and served honorably in World War II. Jim returned to El Paso after completing his service and married his childhood sweetheart, Corina Madrid. Jim and Corina celebrated sixty-eight years of marriage in April of 2016. Jim returned to the Lord on June 6, 2016 and is survived by his loving wife Corina, his son Eddie Holguin, his grandson Eddie Holguin, Jr., two great-grand daughters, Abigail & Rebekah, his younger sister Corina Arrellano, and countless nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be a 2:00 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors .
