In Loving Memory of

Maria Sara Aleman

December 17, 1938 – March 15, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Maria Sara Aleman, a remarkable woman, and a dedicated mother. My mother’s courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease came to an end on March 15, 2024, at Pflugerville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pflugerville, Texas, outside of Austin, where she had been a resident for the past three months. She was 85 years old. Her passing was peaceful.

Sara was a devoted single mother who dedicated her life to providing love, guidance, and support to her only child Rosa Maria Beltran. Her unwavering commitment to parenthood defined her, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Sara worked as a seamstress. She was also passionate about gardening and tending to her home. When she was not filling her home with warmth, kindness, delicious food, and wonderful friends and family, she could be found outdoors caring for her yard and garden.

Sara was born to Salvador Aleman and Adela Hernandez de Aleman on December 17, 1938, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico. She would later immigrate to the United States, settling in El Paso, Texas. She loved her newly adopted home and would later become a naturalized citizen of the United States. She was very patriotic and loved her new country and the opportunity it presented her to realize the American Dream, which she lived daily.

She is survived by her only child, Rosa Maria Beltran of Austin, Texas, brother Socorro Aleman of El Paso, Texas, brother Angel Aleman and Socorro Cera de Aleman of El Charco, Chihuahua, Mexico, sister Matilde Aleman de Cera and Alejandro Cera of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, sisters-in-law Concepcion Lara de Aleman of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico and Eva Pallares de Aleman of Kansas City, Missouri, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, godchildren, and her two beloved dogs Maxwell Walter and Jaxon Oliver.

She was predeceased in death by both her father and mother, sister Rebecca Aleman of El Charco, Chihuahua, Mexico, brothers Emilio Aleman of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico and Salvador Aleman of El Charco, Chihuahua, Mexico, and sister-in-law Evangelina Carmona de Aleman of El Paso, Texas.
