Sara D. Ramos

Sara D. Ramos, 90, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sara was born on January 22, 1936 in Smeltertown, Texas. She lived a life defined by strength, devotion, and kindness. She attended Bowie High School and later earned her GED through EPC. Sara worked for 35 years at Farrah Manufacturing Company where she retired and formed long-lasting friendships and took great pride in her work.

Above all, Sara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She cherished time with her family and was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Librada and Conrado Duran, and her husband Alejandro “Cano” Ramos. She is survived by her daughters Beatrice R. Garcia, Bertha Ramirez, Aurora Avila, Jo Ann Ramos, and Guadalupe Gallegos.

Visitation will be from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM with a Scripture Service at 9:30 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
