Sergio “Keko” Porfirio Alfaro, age 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 5, 2026 in El Paso, Texas. He was an extraordinary father, beloved brother, remarkable grandfather, great-grandfather, and inspiring person. He will be dearly missed. Sergio is preceded in death by his parents: Ernesto and Julia Alfaro. He is survived by his children: Sergio Porfirio Alfaro Jr., and Gina Sophia Rodriguez, his 12 siblings, 6 grandchildren, and 10 of his great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory.
A Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with the Eulogy to commence at 10:00am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:45pm at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church with a Graveside at 2:30pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
