Interment: Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Survived by: son: Sidney Sipes III, step-daughter, Toni Johnson; and brother, Harold Lee Sipes. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.Sidney Sipes Jr., 77, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away January 16, 2007. He was born in Valley Station Kentucky, and was a longtime resident of El Paso. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service, and went on to a 20 year career with Raytheon. He enjoyed traveling in retirement, and was a lifetime member of the Good Sams RV club, and was proud to be a member of the El Paso Chapter: Simple Sams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louse and his parents, Sidney Sr. and Cressia Sipes. He is survived by his son, Sidney III; daughter, Toni Johnson; and grandchildren: Anthony, Thomas, and Rebecca. Visitation will be held from 5 pm - 9 pm, Monday, January 22, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral service will be held at 9 am, Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
