It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Matthew Delgado, who left us on August 5, 2026, at the age of 35.

Stephen was born on October 29, 1990, in El Paso, Texas. He was a beloved son, brother, and father whose presence brought something truly unique to the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Stephen was the son of Loraine Leyba Lara (Alvino Lara) and Richard Delgado (Yvonne Gutierrez Delgado). He was a loving father to his son, Psilo Yarbrough, and a cherished brother to Kevin Isaiah Delgado and Daniel Jacob Delgado.

Stephen had a deep love for music. His bass was more than an instrument—it was a part of who he was. Music gave him a way to express himself, connect with others, and bring his own rhythm into the world.

He also had a personality that could light up a room. Stephen had an incredible ability to work movie quotes into almost every response, turning ordinary conversations into moments people couldn't help but remember. His humor, wit, and unmistakable way of being himself will be deeply missed.

Stephen leaves behind memories that will forever live in the hearts of his son, parents, brothers, family, and friends. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the music he shared, and the laughter he created will continue to live on through those who knew him.

Stephen, you will always be loved, always be remembered, and never be forgotten.

May you rest peacefully, and may the music you loved continue to play in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday August 13, 2026 with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N Carolina Dr. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 14, 2026 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. 8600 Winchester.
