Sylvia Ruiz de Guerra, 95, was born in Puerto Rico on December 31, 1926 and passed away peacefully in El Paso, Texas on November 4, 2022. After almost 70 years of marriage to Telesforo Guerra, she became widowed in 2015. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Sixto Ruiz and Celenia Rodriguez, son, Jaime Guerra, and grandson, Nelson Guerra, Jr. Sylvia is survived by her son, Nelson Guerra, daughter, Iris Guerra, brother, William Nieves, daughter-in-law, Veronica, five grand children, Aramis, Nannette, Diego, Omar, and Juan-Carlos, and five great-grandchildren, Aramis II, Marcos, Aaron, Gabriella, and Emir.

Sylvia's visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Rosary at 10:00 AM and a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 11, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina, El Paso, TX. Committal Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery East.
