Terry Earl Robinson

Terry Robinson, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2019 with his beloved wife and soulmate, Janice, at his side. Terry was born in November 1942 in Cottonwood Point, Missouri. He was delighted to recently travel to Cottonwood Point to show Janice his favorite places from his childhood memories. Terry lived in several locations throughout the United States while his father served in the U.S. Army. His father was in the invasion of North Africa when Terry was born, and he didn’t see his new son until he returned home after the war over two years later. When his father retired in 1955, the family settled in El Paso. Terry attended Austin High School and graduated in the first graduating class at Irvin High School in 1960. He then attended Texas Western College, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He started with Ramsey Steel Company as an Engineer in Training in 1964 and remained with the company for over 40 years, except for two years in the army during the Vietnam War. He later became president of Ramsey Steel Company. Terry was highly respected by his colleagues in his 50+ year career in the steel fabrication industry and was a long-time member of the Southwest Steel Fabricators Association. In addition to dedication to his career, Terry loved being in the desert, playing with his dogs, hunting, eating Mexican food, and expressing his sense of humor with family and friends. Terry is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his sister Patty; two brothers, Brian and Stephan; two sons, Brian (Kendra) and Charlie; stepchildren Laurie Beardsley (Rob McCalla), Brian Beardsley (Sonja) and Brent Beardsley (Stephanie Jimenez); 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.
