Thomas "Tom" George Cox

Thomas George Cox entered into the hands of our Lord and Savior on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the age of 61.

Thomas was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and loyal friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He proudly dedicated his life to serving his country, first as a member of the United States Marine Corps, then the United States Army, and later continued his service as a civilian Course Instructor Developer with the Defense Ammunition Center. His unwavering commitment, honor, and dedication to his nation reflected the values by which he lived.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dorothea Marie Cox and George Thomas Cox.

Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 22 years, Valerie Sue Cox; his beloved children, Patrick Ronald Cox and Claire Marie Cox; his dear brothers, James William Cox (Christine) and John Patrick Cox; as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Sunset Funeral Home-West.

A Scripture Service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
