Tina Marie Hamilton

A life well lived with purpose. Pretty Tina Marie was born on March 18, 1946, to the late Bud Sr. and Teresa Moore in El Paso, Texas. She was one of their six children. Tina attended Jefferson High School. Her parents made sure she was also educated in the Lord, and Tina and her family attended Mount Olive Baptist Church, renamed Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church. For most of her life, Tina served in the church as an usher, known often to say, “Once an usher, always an usher.”

Tina met and married the love of her life and best friend, Master Sergeant E-8 Matthew Hamilton, on April 12,1971, in Bert Barnett, Texas. Their 55 years of married life was pleasant and enjoyable; they were a Team. Tina faithfully attended church, Bible study, and mission ministries. She was always on time, ready to serve, and often leading the way, and always saying “To God Be the Glory! She faithfully served as president of the Pastor’s Aid Committee and Head Usher. She took great joy in other people’s accomplishments and would support, encourage, and sponsor anyone who needed help. She was a champion giver and fundraiser. Her career involved working in Private Duty Care. Her labor of love and the care she showed to all of us were truly a blessing. Mother Tina was a gift from God. She was loved by the people of the church and adopted many as her family.

On Saturday afternoon, June 27, in the arms of her loving and devoted husband, Matthew; Tina peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Her memory will be cherished by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Matthew Hamilton; her son, Robert Lee Moore of Nashville, Tennessee; her sisters, Elnora Hart of El Paso and Annie Pearl Moore of Georgia; her nieces and nephews, Rochelle Hart of El Paso, John Hart of Lubbock, Pastor Larry Moore of Horizon City, and Danny Walker Sr. of Georgia, her beloved Greater Mt.
