Tomas Olivares

Tomas Mancera Olivares, 83, of El Paso, TX, passed away on Friday, March 6,2026. Born on October 18,1942 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, he was a devoted husband and father.

Dad was a hard-working and dedicated person. He lived a life filled with love and laughter and cherished every moment that will forever live in our hearts.

As we reflect on the life of our father, Tomas M. Olivares, our hearts overflow with treasured memories. From his infectious smile to his witty sense of humor. We will forever remember the joyous family gatherings, the heartfelt conversations, and the shared moments of love and laughter that enriched our lives. He was a man of love, compassion, integrity, kindness, generosity, as he left a lasting impact on everyone that knew him. Even though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored.

He is survived by his wife Celia Cruz Olivares, and children Adriana Martinez, Celia Appelzoller, Susana Hernandez, Maria Perez, Tomas Olivares, David Olivares and Janet Hernandez, as well as extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held on March 26, 2026 at 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home on 4631 Hondo Pass Dr El Paso, TX 79904. Funeral Mass will be held on March 27, 2026, at 11:45 am at Blessed Sacrament, followed by committal service at Fort Bliss Cemetery at 1:00 pm.

As we say goodbye to him, we find comfort in knowing that Dad's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
