Velia Brown

Velia Prieto Brown, 79 years old, passed away on September 24, 2014. Velia was an El Paso resident for 40 years. Velia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcelino and Josefina Prieto; her husband, Donald J. Brown; daughter, Gloria Zamarripa; and brother, Antonio Prieto. Velia is survived by her siblings: Bernarda, Victor, Olga, Lucina and Ramon; her children and step children, Armando, Donna, Luisa, Chuck, Josie, Diana and Hopie; along with 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Visitation for Velia will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
