Veronica Maribel Huerta

Veronica Maribel Huerta, 42, passed away quietly on December 28, 2014. Veronica was born in El Paso, Texas on March 15, 1972. She grew up in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Austin High School in 1990 attending the University of Texas at El Paso after graduation. In 1995 she married and in 1996 she gave birth to her wonderful daughter Alexandria Acosta. Veronica dedicated her life to her daughter and worked hard to care for her pride and joy. She left behind a legacy of love, work ethic, and leadership for her daughter. Veronica was a selfless and caring woman who will be remembered forever by the lives of those she touched. The night before her passing, her daughter was by her bedside and Veronica told her daughter how much she loved her. Alexandria was also able to tell her mother that she loved her very much. Alexandria spent countless hours and days by her mother’s side at the hospital. Veronica will be truly missed by all and will always be remembered. She will always hold a special place in her daughter’s heart and in the hearts of those who knew her. She is survived by her mother Georgina Perez and her daughter Alexandria Acosta. A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with a Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 9:00AM at Saint Patrick Cathedral, 1118 North Mesa Street, El Paso, Texas. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
