Vickie Maria Cromartie

Vickie Maria Cromartie, 61, gained her wings on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Vickie was born in Cristobal, Panama to her loving and devoted parents Jeremiah and Pauline Jones of Caldwell, TX. She graduated from Parkland High School and left to serve in the United States Navy. She later married in 1984 and conceived her 1st child in 1986.

Vickie earned the honorable rank of E-5, Petty Officer Second Class (PO2) in the United States Navy. She loved to read, laugh, and spend time with her family.

Vickie was preceded in death by her eldest sister Mrs. Linda Daughtry, who welcomed her home. She leaves behind her parents; Jeremiah & Pauline Jones, sisters; Ms. Jeanette Davis and Ms. Terri Jones, brother; Jeremiah Jones Jr., daughter; Ms. Takisha Cromartie, and loving nieces and nephews.

In honor of her memory and legacy, we have arranged the following ceremonious events to pay our respects. A Funeral for Vickie will be held December 18, 2024, at 11:30 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 3400 Wyoming Ave with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
