Victoria C. Delgado, a devoted mother, grandmother, and the beloved storyteller of her family, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born on June 12, 1937, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Victoria, or Vita as she was commonly called, carried with her the values of hard work, resilience, and a deep, abiding love for her heritage and family. She spent her life as a hardworking wife and mother, ensuring that her home was always a place of warmth and nourishment.

To know Vita was to know the joy of a well-told story and the comfort of a home-cooked meal. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, but her spirit was the heart of the family. She found her greatest happiness in doing for others, whether she was caring for her children, doting on her grandchildren, or sharing her wisdom and humor with her many nieces, nephews, and the "greats" who followed. She leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and the many stories she shared that will now be carried forward by those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Avila Lucero; her sister, Gloria Cook Salcido; her husband, Angel Delgado; her daughter, Martha Delgado; and her son, Jose Luis Delgado.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her surviving sons, Angel Antonio Delgado and Edward "Blue" Delgado, along with a vast and loving extended family of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who were all touched by her generous spirit.

Vita’s life was a testament to the power of family and the strength of a mother’s love. She will be deeply missed, but her presence will be felt every time a family story is told or a favorite recipe is shared.

Service Details: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
