Virginia V. Flores

Virginia V Flores, age 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 25th, 2025. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, friend and devout Catholic who will be dearly missed by all. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents: Sotelo and Maria de Refugio Villagrana, her husband: Manuel Gallegos Flores, her son: Manuel Villagrana Flores, siblings: Salvador Villagrana, Margarita Rodriguez, Rocio Villagrana, Jesusita Paredes, Aurora Villagrana and her son in law: Roberto Medina.

She is survived by a large family, who will forever hold her in their hearts; her children: Manuel V Flores’ (deceased) family (spouse: Maria Flores and children Cassie Marlene, Marilyn Christine, Manuel III and Joshua Emil Flores). Guadalupe Flores (spouse: Paul Cooper and son Edward Nathaniel Reyes), Virginia Flores (late spouse: Roberto Medina & children: Bonita Bo Medina and Roberto Elijah Medina), Sergio Flores (daughter Melissa Flores), Eduardo Flores (spouse: Samantha Flores and son Eduardo Manuel Flores) and Blanca Margarita Gomez (spouse: Daniel Gomez and sons John Michael and Tristan Benjamin Gomez. During Virginia’s life, she was blessed additionally with 12 great grandchildren (Aiko Monique, Dante Ezequiel, Josiah, Serenity, Axel, Myla Monroe, Eden, Halo, Jacob, Jamison Bobby, Wesley, and Bradley) . This year, Virginia was able to meet her first great great grandchild (Willow).

Virginia lived a fruitful life. She grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Chih, MX while attending school at Sacred Heart and Loretto Academy in El Paso, TX. She always spoke of the daily trek she made over the border with enthusiasm and pride. After graduation, Virginia set out for work and was able to obtain a job at Mountain Pass Canning Company in Anthony TX, where she met the love of her life Manuel G Flores. She and Manuel were soon married and blessed with 6 children. They chose to settle in Canutillo TX, where Virginia became a lifelong resident for over 65 years. Unfortunately, during her 6th pregnancy, Manuel was diagnosed with Leukemia and passed away shortly after. It was during this time that Virginia demonstrated immense strength and fortitude while raising her children and being their sole provider. She was able to attend El Paso Community College and UTEP, making the Dean’s List for several semesters. Virginia enjoyed reading novels, watching crime shows, antiquing and collecting/making jewelry. Virginia’s story of strength, honor and dedication will always be remembered by those who loved her and lived beside her.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday January 6th, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a rosary to commence at 6:00pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday January 7th, 2026 at 12pm, at St Patrick’s Church, 7065 2nd Ave. Canutillo, TX. 79835
